A secured personal loan, also known as a share secured loan, uses funds you already have in a savings account or certificate as collateral. Your funds stay in your account and continue earning dividends while you repay the loan; it's simply secured rather than being withdrawn. Because the loan is backed by your own money, approval is often easier and rates are typically lower than an unsecured loan, making it a strong option if you’re building credit or want the most competitive rate available.
Funds in an Oklahoma Central savings account or certificate of deposit can secure your loan.

Yes. Because your own savings or certificate secures the loan, we don’t pull your credit when you apply. That makes it a good option if you’re building or rebuilding credit.
As with any loan, a missed payment may affect your credit and could result in fees. If you're ever at risk of missing a payment, contact us as soon as possible so we can help you find a solution.
