Each year, the Oklahoma Central Foundation helps Oklahoma students fund their education. In 2025, we awarded $50,000 in scholarships to hardworking individuals attending college or trade school in the state.

Your Chance to Earn a 2026 Scholarship

This year, the Oklahoma Central Foundation will award $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school students or current college/university/trade school students continuing their education at an Oklahoma institution.

Who’s Eligible to Apply?

  • Applicants must be a current high school senior or current college/university/trade school student
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Applicants must be accepted as a full-time student at a college, university or trade school program in Oklahoma for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic semester. If scholarship money is awarded, this is the only program that will receive the funds on behalf of the applicant.
  • Applicants must submit a completed scholarship application with accompanying materials by the designated deadline
  • Applicants must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States, and a legal resident of the State of Oklahoma, or a member of Oklahoma Central Credit Union
  • Trade students may apply funds towards books and/or supplies. 

How to Apply for the 2026 Scholarship

Follow these steps to submit your application:

Step 1:

Complete Application & Essay

1. Fill out the 2026 scholarship application form (all fields required)

2. Include a typed 400–500 word typed essay (double-spaced in 12-point font) that answers:


"What does your ideal financial institution look like in the year 2035, and how should it help people your age build a strong financial future?"

Step 2:

Submit required Documentation

Include one of the following:

1. Submit a copy of your acceptance letter from an Oklahoma college, community college, university, or trade school

2. OR a copy of your official certified transcript from your current or most recently attended school

Frequently Asked Questions

Students must be at least 16 years old with a minimum 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must be accepted as full-time students at a college, university, or trade school in Oklahoma for the 2026–2027 academic year. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required, along with Oklahoma residency or membership with Oklahoma Central Credit Union.

The deadline to apply for the 2026 Oklahoma Central Foundation Scholarship is April 3, 2026 at 5:00PM.

Yes. Students attending a trade school program in Oklahoma are eligible to apply as long as they meet the application requirements.

Each recipient will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Approximately 25 scholarships will be awarded this year.
